Hi everyone. im not really new here, this is a new account because i forgot my password and didnt feel like getting another one sent to me. i did a search and really couldnt find anything but sorry if i missed it.

im thinkin of having a bass made for me. but since im rubbish at making things i would like to find someone to do it for me bassed off a basic design i draw up. the thing i would like to know is about how much i am lookin to spend. i dont know much of what i want besides the fact that i want a four string neck-thru as for wood i was thinking of maybe a cocobolo(sp?) front and back with a maple core but i have no clue no idea what kind of pups i want either maybe 2 mm pups or a combo of a j and a mm? no clue tho


so yeah if anyone knows where i could find someone to build me a quality bass please let me know. and if possible, a ballpark price would be nice

Go about the other way:
- post the specs with a question if there's somebody nearby who might be able to build it
- recieve numerous hints on luthiers (if our community is in a good mood)
- contact luthiers via e-mail or PM and go on from there

This is the most efficient way to make business contact and not violating any rules (I know of).
