Having a hard time identifying these strings?

Any string experts wanna take a poke at this? I’ve had these taken off from an Ibanez bass two years ago. Original owner claims they’re GHS Boomers Flea Signature but I don’t recall GHS ever using these kind of colored silks in the Boomers...

Anyway, would love to know what brand these are from. They really sound good on my current Ibanez and wouldn’t want any other string!

Looking at the burgundy silk, I was going to say the old version of the GHS Progressives at first.

BUT... The E string on the old Progressives had an exposed core, while these ones don't.

Is it possible the Flea Boomers came with the same burgundy silk as the Progressives at some point? @Jon Moody ?

In the packaged sets, yes.

We offered a couple of Progressives E strings that were non-exposed core as singles, so it's very possible the set could've been put together that way.

Nope. Not a chance.

A couple of more things about the old Progressives...

In a packaged set, the A-D-G were always 38" in winding length (ball end to silk), while E and B came in two lengths, 36.5" and 38" depending on the gauge.

@sonojono, can you measure those strings from the ball end to where the silk starts and see what the winding length might be?

Secondly, the Progressive 130B that's on my Yamaha right now has a silver/chrome ball end instead of the usual gold/brass ones on the Boomers. Would all the Progressives have come with silver ball ends?

All Progressives came with silver balls.

Another thought is that the strings are (Boomers) B52s, which were just Bass Boomer specs made with a final cover of nickel-iron. That would explain the burgundy silk, the non-exposed E String and the brass ball ends.

This makes sense to me.
