Having BassCliff Gig Report Withdrawals

on the plus side I no longer feel hungry reading any posts on Talk Bass 
No worries, I got you covered. Here's a BassCliff-o-Matic (TM) do it yourself gig report:
Set out early for the gig. Traffic was light, nice drive.
Wasn't sure which bass to bring. Stopped by my friend John's and he said, "Just take what you want." Always liked John.
Nice outdoor stage.
They laid out a nice spread for us before we went on...
Really fun crowd. We seemed to go over well.
The manager paid us in cash, asked us back, and gave us a 25% tip and nice goodie bags as a token of appreciation!

I feel like I've been on a diet since the gigs have dried up from BassCliffon the plus side I no longer feel hungry reading any posts on Talk Bass
I miss them too, but yours really made me smile.....
That was beyond excellent.
I'm missing everyone's gig reports, including my own, but that level of missing is nothing compared to missing Cliff's!!
'Bout ready here to revisit his previous reports. Kinda like how NBA TV, MLB TV and the other sports channels are replaying games/matches.
As much as I miss posting about my stinky little bar band, I miss playing with them a whole lot more! Really bummed.

I haven't touched my bass since all this started.
I had to force myself to sit down and play. My problem is there's no sense of urgency. There isn't anything I have to get polished up for Friday night, you know? Fortunately, I have become, in my old age, a huge fan of Chic. And Jerry Barnes, who replaced Bernard Edwards in the bass chair. Goldang he's amazing! So I'm working on Get Lucky--easy changes, crazy fills!
yep, i miss cliff's gig reports, too. living vicariously just isn't the same. 
My homework from last practice was "Alligator" by Monsters and Men... I've got plenty of time to learn. Maybe I'll change my strings just for something to do.
I'm with you there. Finding it so hard to shed properly with no deadlines looming. Plenty to do (sort of working over some original stuff that is really tedious, plus my main band added a dozen new songs to work on and I have a catalog of some 100 cover songs - for three cover bands - to keep fresh) but I'm really finding it hard to stay focused for more than 15-20 minutes and even that time spent is largely just gong through motions, not a lot of shedding.
