Head to go with Aguilar GS 112 cab

Hi,
I would like to ask you for a recommendation. I have a chance to buy Aguilar GS 112 cab, but my budget is very restricted so I have very little to spend on a head.
My goal is to have a mobile amp and I love the sound of Aguilar. My ideal head would be ToneHammer 500 but thats too expensive for me at the moment.
So could you recommend a head that would do justice this great cabinet and be as low cost as possible?
I was thinking Ampeg PF-350, do you think thats a good combination? Or do you have a better suggestion?

PS: I play Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass MIM in a pop/funky band.

Look at 2nd hand amps 4 sale here in the classifieds. Good start.
Mark Bass LMII/III sound good with that cab. GB Shuttle. Ampeg pf350 all are good

I was using an Ampeg B-2RE with mine not long ago and it sounded really good.

I use the same speakers, and would highly recommend the Hartke 3500 from jazz to rock. Fender to my upright this rig can handle it all,and at a cost that wont kill you.

Have you considered the smaller, & less expensive, Tone Hammer 350? Don't know if that'd still be a stretch for your budget.

You may want to look for a used GB Shuttle. I played a Shuttle 9.0 through some GS112s when I owned them, and the combination seemed to work pretty well. I did not, however, like my TC Electronic Classic 450 through the same GS112 cabs.

Different strokes I guess. I borrowed a TC RH450 from a friend and really liked the tone from the GS112 and my J; it was just a touch dark. I really liked my Genz Benz head. For pop and funk I'd recommend anything genz. I believe the Tone Hammer 350 will be $499

AMp'D.2play: I have considered TH350 and it would be great too, but I couldn't find it anywhere in my country. Can you suggest a shop where they are shipping to Europe - Czech Repulic?
I once played with GB and I didnt much like the character of the sound, but maybe with Aguilar cab it could work. I'll try it out.

Check out US Ebay. Many sellers send worldwide & the GB (& TH350 I think) Shuttles are voltage switchable-so will work anywhere in world. Small too, so shipping is cheap.

slapagroov: Ok then, I'll give GB a shot, gonna try it at our local music store.
rodl2005: I checked Ebay and found one seller that shipps it worldwide and it is US $474.00 + $55 for shipping which is still quite a nice price. Im worried about service though, if something breaks... but it is tempting to have Aguilar cab and head

I don't know about the TH350 but I have a TH500 I use with a pair of GS112's and I can say it is awesome. I had and liked the Markbass LMIII with these cabs as well but the TH500 has a bigger and tighter bottom IMHO. The LMIII got a little loose when I turned up. Both good, just apples and oranges I guess.
