Headless basses

I love headless basses. I have a Steinberger Synapse 5, I like the it transports to the gig, the way it hangs on me, I dont need a stand because I just lean it up against something and changing dbl. ball strings is so quick. That being said it is no longer my main bass. I was set to buy a new Zon Vinnie 5 when I happened on a used Zon 519 and bought it cheaper. The Synapse cant touch the Zon when it comes to sound. Maybe some day I'll come up with the money and get a Vinnie. The convieniance of headless with the sound of the Zon.

You won't regret it! I love my Vinny 5.

BTW-- Zon's headless system doesn't require double ball strings so you can use any strings you want.

I used to own that DK--what a great bass! One of those that I definately miss...

Yes, definitely a keeper. Bought her from bdgotoh (Brad) a couple years back. Replaced the active Barts with EMGs (included with the bass). I did move the recessed straplock from beneath the tuners to the upper heel / bout. Dremel tools are amazing!

Here is mine: a 6 string Chris Larkin singlecut. I recently ordered an 8 string (ERB) which should arrive in January. I've owned lots of headed basses before, but after I got this one, I've never looked back...:D

Love them or hate them.

They do have a lot of plus points, easier stringing, great balance etc.

Post your pictures, I'm particularly interested in seeing spme headless single cut basses.

I'm about to order a new Sei 6 string, single cut. My current 6string is a headless Sei flambouyant, and I'm almost certainly going to go headless on the new one.

Here's mine to start.
That Sei makes me moist just thinking about it.

Ones I would like to try include Basslab basses
