The hipshot tuning buttons are below the plane of the underside of the bridge so it either has to hang off the bottom of the body, or body material has to be remove for clearance. It is a well made bridge though. The Nova system is nice too and more affordable, but the saddles are high, more than likely needs to be recessed for a FSO.There are! The Hipshot is is high quality (that you pay for), Guyker makes a knock off of it that is more affordable (check amazon price vs their website price!). These bridges follow the steinberger design using a claw to hold the ball end with direct pull. There are others that have essentially lateral posts so they are basically tuning pegs turned sideways.
