They are pretty rare. Rarer than the fretless I seek. Great score Ronin!! drool

I saw a couple of XP-2's go for around $650 on ebay recently. Crazy.

Don't be fooled, I was one of the few people that was on a bid war over those XP-2 listings and they actually went for $1200. Why eBay say $650, don't know why. Could be a glitch to the website or something but I assure you that it wasn't sold for around $650.

I owned an XP2 back in the 90's... Bought it for $300... WHY THE #@$#@%@#% DID I EVER SELL IT?!?!?

I was messaging earlier with someone on another bassist site. He bought a lefty Spirit XZ-2 a few months ago for less than $400, and sold it recently for $800, plus shipping. So apparently, there is someone out there willing to pay those insane prices. Maybe it being a lefty made it worth a little more, but...DAMN!!!

Let me know on how the NXT5a is like for you, I had the 4 string version and returned it back due to lack of tonal options (go figure since the bass only has 1 tone knob) aside from UPS mishandling the instrument causing some serious dings on the bass

The seller acknowledged my response in regards to the reverb listing about the XP2 being mislabeled as an L2 and is looking into considering my offer. So I was wondering what they roughly go for in the market of an XP2 in its current condition on the listing.

Let's hope the owner bites, it seems like it's coming from a mom and pop shop in their local hometown. Normally shops like that rarely would bend their backs to get you a "good deal" but let's hope! I was never lucky on that department.

Like I said, I bought mine used back in the 90's... its really tough to know when to pull the trigger unless you've been watching them come and go.

I am cheap and try not to be compulsive...

I offered $950. Probably the highest I will go for one quite honestly but from the looks of the bass tells me it's very clean and almost looks like it was never played. It'd be a steal if the offer was accepted.

I never knew about the reverb history source, is their a link to that? Been a Reverb seller for almost two years and have only heard of it but never showed "how to".
