Funny, mine was an '86, as well (new)... sans NORAD hardware, of course. Lol! I used it as a 'backup' for a band I was in, back then.
Hey guys, I finally got a good photo of it, so here's my Hohner B2! I'd like to join the club if possible. 
Another thing though, is that I'm actually looking for a new headless, but I'm kinda tired of the paddle-shapes. I've made a post on TB about this before, but maybe you guys have some more ideas. Basically I'm just looking for a headless 5 string bass (pups/controls etc can vary, but ideally it'd be active), but I've realised that I don't have as much money as I thought when I made my original post, so I'd like to know if you guys have any other cheaper options. My current idea was to get this bass and mod it, and keep it relatively cheap. But maybe you guys had any other ideas.

@Cran I'd dive into NS design basses. Specially the WAV series. They're sold through Reverb as B-Stocks from NS Design at around $500. Relatively cheap with an EMGX pickup and a piezo, really nice full tone can be had with those basses.
Or you can go into the Spirit XZ Basses and have them modded with EMG's and a BTC System but that'll cost you close to $1k.

I think people have reviewed the Brice Headless on TB if you want more info. Full bodied 5 string headless will certainly not be easy to find. Steinberger is of course *the* name so if you did find a WAV for ~500 that would be a nice deal!
I totally forgot about the Brice's. I find their neck width to be as thicker then a fender jazz bass. Luckily you can try one out with a 30-day return policy.

3d printing isn't cheap. I'm pretty sure they aren't printing those knobs. And since I'm posting here is a knob I've 3d printed.
Y'know, and ya pro'ly do but if ya ain't thought of it, you can bend the arms of that guitar stand to make a better cradle ...
I didn't really think of that, because I normally have it on a multi-instrument stand. I only put it on that one to take the photos, haha. Thanks for the advice though!
Are you saying they 3d print plastic knobs? Or that 3d printing is cheap? Have you done any?
If their knobs are plastic, they sure fooled me, the bridge is pretty solid. Grease the tuners before assembly and they can be pretty smooth. It may be all Chinese pot metal but it's built like a tank. I usually replace the screws as they are the weakest link and you better drill pilot holes anyway...
What I'm saying is the material is definitely 3D printed and the parts fall apart so it's best to kinda stay away from it but not sure how they've came far as I've had experienced this 3 years ago..
Maybe they used a cheaper filament? Higher quality filament will yield more durable product?
I have a headless build I just put a deposit on 5 string P or pj possibly, looking at hardware options and it seems to come to hipshot or ABM, though abm seems hard to come by...is there any other good hardware recommendations? With this type of build you really need to pick hardware first as everything else will flow around that.

I ordered five of these direct from the ABM website. Paid online, shipped quick, no hassles at all.
They're interesting little buggers. Not sure what I'll do with them quite yet, but it'll be unique!
The hardware on my Maruszczyk headless is made by ETS. Maruszczyk uses their parts a lot, as do many German bass manufacturers.

What kind of material are they using? And I guess there's no way you can post a pic.
