I amazes me how many of the stars who basically can buy any thing they want, and can get any babe they want, end up giving up on life. Especially while many of the rest of us run around trying to make enough money to buy anything we want and get any babe we want. Might prove there's something more.
As trite as it sounds money does not guarantee happiness.
I'm never amazed, though it's always sad to see someone go out like that, movie star or not.

They have troubles just like you and me brother... maybe even more considering celebrity. It's gotta' be tough "living in the fisheye lens, caught in the camera's eye".
Very sad news indeed... I think he had a very bright future.
He was really terrific in Brokeback Mountain. Too often his films were unworthy of his seemingly considerable talent, and this is just an awful blow. His best years seemed to be ahead of him.
He was so good in The Lords of Dogtown that you didn't even know it was him. I might just have to go out and buy all of his movies.

Wow. I never really followed his work but it's just shocking to see someone die that young. Terrible.
I wonder what was wrong with the guy's life that he thought this was the best option? I thought he was a fine actor ... he got better in each role that he played. I'm not a Heath Ledger fan per se, but at least if I saw his name on the cover of a movie, I could count on there being at least one actor who was dedicated to improving his craft in it. In these days, with the sort of money that young, studly actors make, that's rare.

No where does it actually say that he killed himself, it didn't even say that the cops were looking into that. Might have been implied, but he also could have had the sleeping pills in the medicine cabinet, the media twists things. Lets keep this to talk about him and his movies, not how he MIGHT have died.

I was watching CNN and they were interviewing an entertainment journalist who knew him well. He was speculating that this may have been accidental. Apparently Mr. Ledger had a hard time sleeping for some time now and took many sleeping aids like Lunestra and such. This guy thinks that maybe he was trying to get some sleep and took too many pills. We'll never really know what happened.
Great. Now they're gonna have to find someone else if they make another Batman movie. Thanks a lot, Heath.
one of my friends' status on Facebook is something like "why did Heath have to die? he was too cute to die....."
but yeah...its a sad thing, indeed...
