heavan and hell

for c-mas, i just got the new heavan and hell live at radio city music hall 2007 concert. and Geezer Butler was playing a Red on black bass and I thought it was a fender bass. when i looked at the head stock It didn't say FENDER it said LAKLAND. It had P-bass pickups and J-bass pickups. I don't know much about LAKLAND basses and i am seeking help about these [in my opinian] great sounding basses

Laklands are awesome. They have a huge (and I mean HUGE) following on here.

And between Laklands and Fenders, I would take a Lakland hands down.

He currently plays Joe Osborn and Bob Glaub signature basses...he could have his own signature line of basses.... beyond me why he doesn't already....

I was at that show. Third row in front of Geezer. He was in top form and those Laklands through the Ampeg rig sounded great .

Are Lakland Skyline JOs on par with Sadowsky Metros and Nash Jazz basses? If they are, seems like they're priced pretty good. CAn anybody point to a review or chime in with real worl knowledge on these basses?
