I have a been a lurker for quite some time. Decided to join in on the conversations.
I have been playing bass for 10 years or so. I actually started out on guitar, but took up bass playing because it was easier to get in a band on bass. I played both guitar and bass for a while. After waiting patiently, I finally got a gig playing guitar but I quickly wished I had stayed on bass. So I am now fully devoted to being a bass player and I think I'm a better person for it.
My favorite bassists are Geddy Lee (the BEST IMHO), Flea, Dave LaRue, Tony Levin, and P-Nut.
I have played mostly in cover bands, but have dabbled in originals and done some studio work for local artists (no one important, though
