Hi I new on this forum.
I think am a bassist at heart but also play 6 string just as well if not better. I recently joined a rock band at work as bassist. Being an oldish fart, I don't have a proper lead guitar stack anymore, just a Roland cube 30w which has nice sounds just not much power. So today I wired it into my 300W Ashdown stack and you know what, after a bit of fiddling with the EQ it sounded flippin' amazing! The other band members were a bit shocked when they turned up for practice this lunchtime and I was thrashing out The Sabre Dance on my six string through the bass rig! I was still very happy to put it down & pick up my bass though.
Is anyone else kind of caught between playing bass & lead?
