Hello fellow bassists

I typically start at this page (www.talkbass.com/forum), then click "New Posts," and read whatever topic tickles fancy. The layout and organization starts to sink in after awhile. Also - if (and when) you find a thread/topic that you like, and want to refer to again in future, click "thread tools" while viewing the thread, and then define how you want to be notified when there's a new post.

However, I never choose email notifications when subscribing to a thread. I just subscribe and then check my subscriptions once in awhile. Been here since March myself, and currently have over 70 threads (I thi nk) marked like this for reference. Theory - bass models - J-bass modifications - theory - reggae - home stereo - whatever, I typically find anything I want by watching "new posts" daily, and searching, and subscribing to whatever. Hope this helps. Site is a true beast in size and number of participants.
