Hello fellow bass nerds!

My name is Antonio, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I've played a handfull of different instruments for the last 20 something years and ended up falling in love with the bass.
I'm also an instrument building enthusiast, I have built a couple of electric guitars, one weird little bass (which is the only bass I own) and currently I'm building my first classical guitar in a lutherie school and designing another bass I hope to start building soon.
Decided to join talkbass mostly for the Luthiers corner and the summer build off thing. I'd love to join the next one!

Did you ever know Roberto Giormenti, who made very good double basses there? He passed away a few years ago?His partner Gustavo Auday plays in the opera orchestra, I believe.

I know a couple of cello luthiers, but I don't think I ever met a double bass luthier. And Auday doesn't ring any bells either, but I'm not really familiar with the academic music scene.
