I see you definitely like the Precision neck over the jazz. I think there's a group on TB for Precision necks on Jazz Basses?

What tapewounds have you got on your jazz? Looks like 2 different kinds?

Yes, I prefer the width of a modern Precision neck.

Passive, high output, hum cancellers on the jazz, both positions.

OEM pickups on the Squier, for now. Really trying to just play and not tinker on the Squier. I changed the strings and the pickguard and that's it... for now.

That's the way. Enjoy it as is. Otherwise once you start switching them around, it gets addictive! Some of those standard pickups sound great with just a string change.

I had a Squier Sonic Precision and changed the strings to chromes and it lit that bass up!! No need to change anything. Like you, it was just a string change and pickguard change. But then I started playing around with pickup swaps and well, that was the end of that.
