I have been active over on The Gear Page since 2015, but given my increasing focus on bass I figured it was time to sign up here!
I’ve been playing the guitar for about 25 years, and bass seriously for 8ish. I like extended range instruments for both guitar and bass (my main six string is a 36 fret Hamer).
My bass rig at the moment is a VHT 2150 power amp and a vintage Traynor 2x15. It’s amazing how fast 100 watts gets eaten up pushing bass vs. guitar…
The 2150 is great though, and with a limiter in front can hang with a loud drummer for cleanish sounds.
I’m all over the map for genres. I play in a death metal band, but record pop, country and all sorts of stuff for folks.
