Help a guitarist to record bass!

I'm a guitarist who wants to record some bass tracks for my recordings.
This is what i have:
1. precision bass
2. Line6 Guitarport
3. Cakewalk Sonar
4. Native Instruments Guitar Rig 2 and IK Amplitube
5. Several other plugins
6. Creative Audigy soundcard

How should I do it? Wich effects to use? What fx chain?
