My bass will arrive in a few days and I am looking for an amp. I have read alot of reviews and the recomendations on here. This will be mainly used around the house.
I have narrowed it down to these:

GC messd up an order so I get free shipping and $25 off.
If there are other suggestions let me know. If anyone has a good deal available let me know;)

Seriously, play your new bass through all the bass amps they have. You be the judge, what sounds best within your budget. Remember, in a while, you'll be hooking up with others and forming a band. At that time, you'll need a bigger rig, so why not go small for now. Everyone needs a small amp for the bedroom anyway. That way, you save some cash right now, and start saving up for the big rig, later.

good point. and buying used can save even more cash! craigslist has deals sometimes, just remember that trying before buying is a good way to avoid crying after buying.

if it's just for around the house, 20-50W should be OK but you may have trouble playing with others at that power level. ive played through the BA112, and of those I like that one the most, but it's way overpriced, IMO.

I had one of those BA-112's from Ampeg a while back and it was easily one of the biggest disappointments in my gear history. For the price, it was awfully weak and I only got it for practice. My most recent find was a second hand M-Line 1x12 combo from Genz-Benz though. This one is the other side of the coin for me in that it sounds about twice as big as I expected when I air it out. The bonus was that I found it in very good condition for only $80.

In case you need a review on something and can't find it here, you can check the reviews on harmony-central.com, too. Plenty of cheap, decent combos out there.
