+1. It is very useful and a feature that is relatively simple and cheap for manufacturers to incorporate. Then again, you can implement it yourself by simply turning the AC plug around in the wall.

Edit: I blew past your comment about the Platinum and the HPF. Adrian is quite right. It has a quite useful, adjustable HPF.

Oh...mine's the older one, before Platinum. It does have a depth control on the back, but it's a bass boost rather than HP filter.

From the manual:

SUB-BASS CONTROL
On the back of the unit there is a recessed SUB-BASS con-
trol which is set flat at the factory. This feature can be used
to emphasize the amount of “bottom end” on small-bodied
guitars by turning it clockwise.

The specs show that it boosts from 0 to +10db @ 80hz

It's good that the current model has a HP filter instead.

Nowhere did I disagree with Rick. I was explaining what are the facts concerning what the circuitry does (notch filter inverts, high-pass does not) and how that may come about. Judging from the thread, a number of folks seemed genuinely interested.

+1 on those statements. None of us doubts the knowledge or abilities of Rick and AI. Only that we may want options for filtering and phase reversal to be somewhat more available. I, as a rookie, am learning some cool new stuff from DrURB's well-reasoned, well-written technical "mumbo-jumbo" . At my age of 55, learning to play DB and understanding stuff about strings, luthiery, amps, speakers, etc. has opened up some new brain circuits for me and swept out a few cobwebs . Keep it comin' Doc and others.
