Help and Advice needed

Hi Folks, I'm new here so first of all I would like to say Hi to all members:D

Recently I bought myself a Boss GT10B effect and I'm having some trouble working out how to use one function on it. I'm trying to assign functions to the expression pedal but for some reason I doesn't work. For example I would like to assign the Flanger to it so when the pedal is pressed all the way down it uses the effect but when it's up it's just a clean sound. I've tried so many different things and still no luck:crying: If any of you would be so kind to offer some advice I would greatly apreciate it:hyper:

I'm also looking into getting a new head and a cabinet because at the moment I'm using a combo which doesn't give me a great sound.

My bass is Ibanez 556MP, Boss GT10B and currecntly Warwick Sweet 15.2 combo.

I know it is a very open question but what would you recommend for the head unit. I was thinking Trace Elliot or Ashdown but then again other heads might be good for me. To maybe slightly help I'm looking for a head that when set flat will give a clear and crisp sound, something like Rob Trujillo had while he was in Infectious Grooves.

Thank you in advance for any input:bassist:

Hi, and welcome to TB. Regrettably I have no advice about the GT10B, other than if this thread doesn't get you the response you need, you might try posting a thread with a title like "Boss GT10B owners please help". That way you are more likely to get an answer from someone who knows.

As far as the amp questions, here's the drill: The Amps forum is the place to look. :) When you ask over there, you should specify the following:
-Your real budget, a specific maximum amount. Don't just say "affordable" or "won't break the bank" or something like that, because everyone has a different idea of what those phrases could mean.
-The types of tones you want (exactly as you did, with Trujillo/Infectious etc.).
-Remind them that you're in the UK, as that may affect your options.
-Whether you're willing to shop around on the used market, or if you need to go through a new-goods store or website.

Do all of that, and you should get some actually helpful input. Good luck!
