Help clueless on this

Ok so I picked up this Ibanez 4 string and I'm trying to figure out anything on it I can't find a serial number on it anywhere but here's a pic just to fish anything you can steer me in the right direction would be appreciated

I will guess '80's Japan. It's a gorgeous bass.

It's an Ibanez MC900DS, the first iteration of Musician basses.
Produced from 1979 to 1982.

Not sure the MC900 made it past 1980, but otherwise correct. You should be able to find a serial number stamped into the back of the headstock. The first letter (A-L) will give you the month of manufacture, the next two digits will give you the year.
