help: cubase SE3 and windows vista

:help:

has anyone successfully installed cubase SE3 onto a windows vista operating system?

initially, the disk will not run or install- period. the cubase support cener indicates that one must first install syncrosoft LCC, which i have done. but syncrosoft LCC then requires an activation code for the lisence to be installed, and that's not accessible to me...

of course, neither the cubase SE3 product nor any distributor of it specifies that it's incompatible with vista - they merely list windows XP as a minimum requirement...

:help:

any experienced advice?

thanks!

I only have the LE version of Cubase. So I'm not sure how similar they actually are but I may as well throw something out there to see if you can figure it out.

Try locating something like a "Device Setup" as it is called in the LE version. In the Device Setup, well at least in the LE version there is something called a VST Multitrack. And inside there you will find something called an ASIO Driver, this is where you select your input source....

Now I have Cubase 1 LE.... and I can run it relatively fine on Vista x86. So I don't think you should have any issues.
