Help diagnosing problems with Eden cabinets: D210XLT & D212XLT

Ultimately, I thought it might motivate the OP to look at replacing the Eden's with DNA cabs instead of the diy project.

Thank you guys so much for all the detailed responses! If I do put in new speakers I'll update this just so anyone reading this in the future will know about it. As it stands now, still processing and trying to decide if it's worth the time and money to repair. They sure did sound good when they were last working, and I liked the combination of those two cabs.

They did sound great, but sadly, replacing all these drivers is like replacing an engine and transmission in a fifteen year old car. You will not get your money back if you try to sell.

These cabs in their original stated are only $200, pretty much giveaway prices these days. My 210XLT in new condition eventually went for $150, music shops offered $50-75 for it because they new it would just sit, no one wanted it.

Great for their time, sadly no one cares anymore.
When cabs are "upgraded" or otherwise had their speakers swapped, they are useless on the used market.

If you do do something with them, I am interested to know how you like it.

I still think these are good, well built cabinets. If you don't mind their weight, look into reconing/replacing the driver's. Lots of info in the thread so, let us know what you do with em!
