Double Bass Help, Finish Damage Advice

The delivery monkeys have done it again! My new, top of the line, Christopher Bass arrived damaged. The varnish on the lower top has imprints and scratches from the case that was packaged with the bass. Why Concord did not ship the bass in the cover is beyond me. Can this kind of cosmetic damage be repaired? I've waited nine months for a bass from them and I'm at my end. The first one arrived smashed in delivery. Does anyone have any idea of the cost of refinish work like this? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks, GF

Sorry to hear of your troubles. So, the same company has shipped you two and both were damaged? You didn't post any pix and I'm certainly no woodworking expert but the pros can do rather amazing things to hide the type of damage you described. Will the seller cover the cost? Where do you live? Perhaps you can be directed to the closest luthier.
