Help geezer with rig buying tips

I've been guilty of taking out way more cab than I 'need.' There are so many gigs where I'd be more than happy to take my 12/6cube (soon to be replaced by a Fearless 112) or a Bassic 15 with me...not that my Fearless 215 weighs too much...I just feel weird taking that cab to the small gigs...just can't let the poor thing run :)
