I hope this is the right forum for this. If not feel free to correct me.
I have many educational books about the the bass. From set up to break down. How to play this style and that style bla bla bla. I may start them and get real deep but I hardly finish them.
I have e-books, print outs hard covers that cost a lot of $. And I just caught myself wanting more.
Anyone else like this? I'm sure I'm not the only one. I have also subscribed to video online stuff.
To be fair, I have used a lot of knowledge I have gained from these pieces of fine print.
So, can I rest easy recognizing this? Oh, and I also have bass player magazines from twenty years ago.
I can't let go...

Lie down on the couch, make yourself comfortable... our session will start in 3, 2, 1...

So, when was it? When did it start, your obsession in playing this... this game... Yahtzee, is it?

(holding right hand up, and shaking invisible cup)

Does this obsession... keep you... up? Do you find yourself bumping into walls, as you eat your tuna fish sandwich? Hmmmm? I love tuna fish sandwiches...

I think your problem is common and completely curable... take two items from the TB Classifieds, use and abuse them for at least 3 months, flip them for a profit, and I guarantee you will lose your obsession for the shake weight known as the Yahtzee can...

Yeah more info, basses, amps, pedals, straps, strings.....

You found the right place.
It certainly is an obsession. I have 3 stage rigs and my season of gig's are coming to an end and I'm looking for more to buy trade sell ugh...
Pedal board is fine... No it's not!
Happy with strings. Nope, got to try these.
I promised myself not to spend any $ this year. Well out came the new Aguilar amp.
I needed a small practice amp. Boom Phil Jones.
Headphone amp again Phil Jones.
Ampeg replaced Markbass, and not to mention The ELF, for what? To take up residence in my gig bag.
I got the new Janek book because I watched his video blog for 312 days and I just had to have it...
