Help identifying Gibson G3 Grabber

I have this bass I borrowed from my brother 25 years ago! He didn't really like it and loaned it to me and he replaced it with a Fender something. Anyway, it's a nice bass and it looks like it's worth a fair amount of money, so I need to let him know in case he wants to sell it. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it, specifically when and where it was manufactured based on the configuration and serial. It's obviously USA made. When he loaned it to me, it had high action, I think that's why he didn't like it. I had it set up about 10 years ago and it plays great with low action and sounds great and is in very good condition. Attached are pictures, in case you can't read it, the serial number is 06168984. That is a Gibson G-3. The Grabber has the same body and neck but has only one pickup, which slides to different positions. By serial number it was made in 1977, which is consistent with what it looks like.

My favorite of the three varieties of that Gibson bass shape. I've owned them all, Ripper, Grabber, G3, and the G-3 was the one I kept the longest.

The regular Grabber has a single sliding pickup.
