Help identifying my bass...

I acquired this bass recently from my grandpa who had it in storage in his basement. It is a Series 10 bass in great condition, with no scratches. It has 23 frets, unactive pickups, and bolted on neck.

1 What is Series 10?
2 What year is this bass?
3 What kind of pickups are those?
4 How much could this sell for?

Please answer my questions. Thank you.

It is an inexpensive beginner bass, sometimes marketed as a Bently Series 10, but it's probably been produced under different names as well.

I remember seeing these in the early 90's. They sold for $200 - 300 and where made by Samick I think. You might want to double check the Samick thing. Not 100% sure. They actually sounded decent for a cheapy.

Apparently Series 10 was just a name used by St. Louis Music when they imported guitars/basses in the 80s and 90s. St. Louis Music is the same company that owns Crate and Ampeg. Supposedly they sound similar to a Fender P bass.

How much do you think I could sell this for?

The Blue Book of Electric Guitars has only two sentences on Series 10 instruments:

"Series 10: Instruments previously produced in Korea and distributed by St. Louis Music of St. Louis, MO. Series 10 instruments are designed for the entry level to intermediate guitar player and feature designs based on classic American favorites."

That sounds like a good selling price. But is it a little low? I think it could probably go for a little more considering it has 4 knobs and a mute, a decent sound, and a cool design.
Aren’t older guitars valued more anyway?
