Help me choose a cab!

I'm willing to spend around $300 for a new/used 4x10 bass cab to go with a Traynor YBA-200. I've narrowed it down to a couple choices:

Amazon seems to have a discontinued model for much cheaper. I think it's the same cabinet.

The Ampeg B-410HE is just a little bit out of my price range, but if enough people recommend it, then I should at least consider spending the extra money.

Any thoughts?

The Hartke 4.5 is a great cab. Heavy as... But a damn good one.
With that Traynor YBA200, make sure to get a good ' tight' cab.
Are there no Bergantino HS410's around 2nd hand in that $ range?
That's the 410 I'd go for in first spot.
I'm sure there are others in the list you gave that will be fine tho.
Edit:- I'd also steer clear of the Fender Rumble.. 2nd hand Peavey should be cool too!

I can vouche for the Peavey TX410 being the loudest and deepest 410 I've played since the GK 410rbh. Warning: its VERY heavy.

Have you considered any of the GK MBX series. Its like 50 more dollars past 300, and I personally think they are great cabs for the price. Relatively light too...

I play on a peavey tx410 and its a great sounding cab but it is a huge pain to move around. Its a lot of fun trying to get it into my 2 door Honda Civic.

First, please dont listen to the hype about using sealed cab at all costs with your YBA-200. If you have the "Resonance" knob (YBA-200-2), you can adjust the dampening factor so the low end frequencies will remain tight using vented cabs - just like a solid state head would do.

Having this said, I would personally consider the GK NEO series (Neo 212 -best sounding in my opinion-, or also the Neo 410) since they are the best $ for the buck: Tone, Wattage, Bracing, sensitivity and portability (they are very, very light).

Another good tone/sensitivity/wattage for the buck will be The new Ampeg Portaflex series (1x15 may be better suited, but you can also consider 2x10).

One thing I'd like to add regarding Cabinets- Your head wont sound better than what your cabinet can deliver tone wise. You have a great full tube head that has plenty of bass, you dont want to go cheap with cabinets that have poor bracing, use MDF as opposed to plywood (or high quality poplar for lightweight solutions), or that feature speakers with low xmax/sensitivity. If you buy a cheap one, you'll want to change it eventually and also have trouble selling it later on. In the end it will cost you more.

Also, you will hear plenty of people talking about Bergantino. These are great cabs for sure, but the musician's world is filled with dogmas, especially with boutique stuff that are $$$. There are better $ for the buck solutions than these in my opinion.

You don't say how old you are, but in your price range just resign yourself to something heavy. It's no big deal, we all lugged heavy stuff around for years (and most of us still do) bc there was no alternative. You seem to like the idea of 4X10's and I agree, great sound. Peavey is good value. Carvin is also very good value. Ignore advice based on name brand, trust your own ear. Good luck.

How many strings do you typically use?

4 strings -- USED Ampeg SVT 410HE -- sweet, tight sounding sealed cab that should get along very nicely with the Traynor, but it doesn't go very deep.

5 or more strings -- USED Avatar B410, B212, or TB153 -- ported cabs, more booty, lighter weight, not as "tight" perhaps as a sealed cab.
