Help Me Decide on a Reverb Pedal!

And now having the Wet in my arsenal all I can say is that HOLY @*)!@# does the Wet stack really well with the Bluesky! I STILL can't seem to part with the the Verbzilla though. Am I REALLY going to be running 3 reverbs on my board? (more like 4 if you take into account the "favorite" switch on the Blue Sky!).

I've recently acquired the EBS DynaVerb and the Strymon BlueSky. Here are some thoughts:

EBS DynaVerb - This reverb sounds pretty good and the model I was using was true-bypass. The tone knob really helps to hone in on a certain sound, or keep things from getting muddy. I will say that it worked very well, but that I liked the Radical Red Reverberator a little more as the highest tone setting on the EBS was still pretty low.

Strymon BlueSky - Honestly, everything that you have heard about the Strymon is true. This pedal is amazing in execution and the sound quality is exactly what I was looking for in a reverb. The high and low damping tone controls allow me to make any number of different reverb effects and the favorite switch essentially lets me have two complete settings at the ready (the saved favorite setting, and whatever setting I use on the switches and knobs).

Thus far, my favorite reverb is in this order: (although I don't expect it to change as my GAS for a reverb is completely dead now)

Strymon BlueSky
Dr. Scientist Radical Red (mini) Reverberator
EBS DynaVerb
Hardwire RV-7

If anyone is interested, I can make up some soundclips of the Strymon and the Bluesky.

Just got a Cathedral yesterday. It's actually my first EHX pedal...I now understand what people mean when they talk about the quirky nature of the company. The pedal itself is a little 'rough around the edges' aesthetically, and tonally it's pretty unique. Need to explore it more, but first impressions are fairly good, seems there are a fair few sounds in the box. I need to compare it to my RV-7, which I do like a lot. I want the presets though, so I need to make the Cathedral work. The fact it doesn't like my Diago powerstation (a nice little hum when it's hooked up) is possibly it's worst characteristic, need to make room for it's own psu on my board if it's kept.

My vote goes for the Strymon Blue Sky... just got one about a month ago. Very high quality, great sounding digiverb with an analog feel to it. Love the 'favorite' button... all around a very versatile pedal!

Truth be told, the Bluesky handles the lower registers better overall due to being able to control the high and low dampening,

BUT the Wet just has this unbelievable lush, organic sound to it. I love them both!!!

If you want to loan me one, I'll try it. Otherwise, the BlueSky has killed my GAS.

Malekko Chicklet. fits your criteria well. great price also, imo. also enjoyed are the Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo and Digitech Digiverb.
