Help me design a pedal board

How wide is is most of the decks on your pedal boards? I drew mine up as 14" but I can get 12" wide no problem. 14" will be an issue. Also what kind of slant. I got it 2" tall at the front and 4" in the back. The slots I drew up are 1.5" wide. Sounds good?

I'm gonna build my own soon as well. I think thin materials with lots of large holes is the way forward, especially as the flight case I have weighs 7kg alone!
