Help me finish my polystyrene cab build

Mr. Horse, you are the person saying it doesn't work. =( All you said is 'your data is invalid' and I won't even look at a free app you recorded it with because I already believe it to be inferior software. I understand the need for valid data, but you gotta help me out here if you want it done somehow differently in a way I don't really understand fully. I will take the sweep with Fdeck's reccomended software tomorrow (can't wake my family right now), but that will end up being on a laptop and therefore with a different microphone on another device, adding further confounding factors to a quest to achieve 'meaningful' data. It's a free app for fart's snacks! Why not at least figure out which processing settings you think are appropriate?

Because I don't waste my time with things like this. I'm telling you that based on my experience, the data you have is not good data. This is not my project, it's not my problem to solve. If you want something reasonable. the best low cost software that I have seen so far is TrueRTA, it works, it works well and is stable. It doesn't have a ton of features, but the one feature it has that I do like is that it works. It also has a manual.

R&D takes time, experience and knowledge/education. The experience part tells me your data is bad, the knowledge part tells me that it's not worth my time to mess with a buggy free app. Sometimes, free is very expensive... especially when you are paying for labor.

My CAD software is more expensive than most bass rigs
My circuit simulation software is (a lot) more expensive than most bass rigs
My PCB layout software is more expensive than most bass rigs
My acoustical analysis and speaker simulation software package is as expensive as many bass rigs
My filter design software is as expensive as many bass rigs

All of it works, works well, is efficient and allows me to get a lot of work done quickly and accurately without worrying about questionable results.

Mr Horse is nobody's slave excepting occasion Mesa customer service at his discretion.

Suggestion: Get a calibrated USB mic (can be had quite cheap these days, e.g. Invalid Link Removed) and free PC SW like Room EQ Wizard, HolmImpulse or Arta. Then read up on how to properly measure. This way, for like 75 bucks, you can have measurement you can actually trust.

Additionally, but not related to the present cab, I got a jumbo art laminator off the Craigslist. I was thinking it would allow me to skin panels pretty nice cuz it vacuum forms. Came with a beefy vacuum pump to run it.

I’ve been wondering the same. I’ve been really inspired by this thread to the point of sketching up ideas of a front loaded 2x15 and a 2x15 folded horn cab like the Ampeg V4B’s. I’d be really fun at the very least.
Here’s a challenge ; design/build Light Weight folded horn cab based on Sunn 1-18 VH or Sunn 1-15 h

I love the incredible tone of my 1970s
Sunn 1-18 VH but my lower back and hernia repair prefer my Bergantino rig
