Double Bass Help me ID this tune!

It's not jazz, but I figure I'd run it past readers first.

It's pop, probably late 60s or early 70s. The notes are the vocal melody. I may not be in the right key (haven't heard any of this but a few seconds in a compilation album commercial over 40 years ago), but you'll get the idea. Thanks!

The beginning rhythm reminds me of the chorus from "I know a place" by Petula Clark. That's 1965. After 40 years it might have morphed in your memory. :)

Thanks for the help! But no, the vocals were male, and the commercial was for a compilation album from the early-mid 70s.

I don't know how old you are, but back then, a comp album ad would play 2-second snippets of a song and then say something like, "Original Hits! Original stars!" Whatever this song is, the snippet came just before "Superstar Elton John!" and then a snippet of Saturday Night's All Right For Fighting
