So a couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine bought this second-hand Spector. The seller told him it was an NS-5. I haven't had the chance to play it myself yet, but I quickly realised that certain aspects of it look a little atypical to the regular model. The upper body horn seems a little different, for example, and the fretboard has dot inlays. I tried to look up some info, but could find very few pictures (and nothing on Spector's website). The site does mention that the NS-5 was the first 5 string model made by the company (in Korea). My guess is that it's an older model. I can't place whether it's 1980s or 1990s, though, and whether it was made in Korea or America. Please note, we only care about the country of manufacture for informational purposes. Apparently, it sounds great so it's not to be snobbish. At best the seller has a piece of Spector history on his hands.
