Help me pick a combo amp

Guys, I have been looking for a new 1-12 combo amp for some time and I have norrowed it down to these three.Please help me decide.Also let me know the pros and cons if any.

Some information about what I am looking for.Something with a mininum of 200 watts.Small enough for practice,gigging and recording.Price range under $1000.

My styles of play are Hard rock, funk, jazz and blues.Current basses are MIA Fender P-Bass and MIA Spector NS-2.

1) Gallien Krueger Neo 700/112 combo
2) Hartke Hydrive 112c combo
3) SWR Working Pro 12 combo

Nothing against the gear on your list, but you might also want to look around for a Nemesis combo or one of the M-Line combos from Genz-Benz. I just got hold of one of the early M-Line 1x12 combos for very low dough and it's got my pants flappin' quite nicely. I got curious about the Nemesis combos in part because of their power - I think that some of them run up to 320 watts with an extension cab which I think could work great for a flexible larger/smaller setup.

Dude, I just played thru my MarkBass CMD121P and that combo is a freak of nature. Its so portable, but it really pumps out a nice chewy thick tone. You might want to check one out.

bassist I'll back you on this suggestion again. Like in your other thread on this combo, really blew me away at what I was hearing out of that small rig, crazy.

Yep, Markbass.

I've been impressed with the bang for the buck on GK combos. I haven't tried the new Hartke stuff yet, but was always pretty happy with my little Hartke 12" kickback. IMO the Markbass is a big step up, though.

I agree you should check out MarkBass and Genz-Benz, but the G-K Neo112 combo is amazing. I use the same rig in head/cab format, and it easily covers small electric rock gigs without PA support. It delivers full-range clarity, but with grit on tap via the "boost" control. I think the low end is great for a 1x12, but some on TB think otherwise. I've only played my five string through it on one gig, and it seemed to handle the low C and D just fine.

I paid $975 taxed out the door for mine, well shipped to my door. I couldn't be happier. The fact that I can carry it with 1-hand and its still got enough balls to cut through playing with a drummer + a guitarist's 200w stack.

And if you want to get real frisky later, you can pick up one of the extension combos and make it a 500w rig!
