Help me pick my next bass (Warwick/Sadowsky)

Hey all! I’m not very active here, but I would appreciate your input.

I have narrowed the search for my next gigging bass down to these two:

Warwick:
Warwick GPS Streamer LX 5-String Bass Creme White Lefty Left-Handed Gig-Bag 9.72 Pounds #9373-21 | Reverb

Sadowsky:
Sadowsky MetroLine Vintage J/MM 2022 - Hi Gloss | Reverb

I regularly gig with a few groups where I play Rock, R&B, Funk, Country, Alternative. For sake of conversation treat these two instruments as the same price. It’s not a factor at this time. So which would you pick and why?

Those two basses are going to hang on a strap differently. What type of bass are you used to?
If the ergos of a FSO are important to you, than I'd go for the metro, even though I love me some ovangkol and wenge...

They both cover all the necessities. I had a fretless streamer in the past. I liked it and would’ve kept it were it fretted. Never played a Sadowsky but have heard only good things about the Metroline. I would give it the edge over the Warwick as far as versatility.

I cut my teeth on and still play my old Carvin SB5000, so the Metro would be arguably more “homey,” though I owned a streamer in the past I really liked the profile of.

The metro probably has more pros than the streamer. Basically my brain is saying Sadowsky but my heart is saying Warwick.

Both basses would likely serve you well. I suggest the Warwick based on your past experience with them. Pay attention to the string spacing differences between the two. I believe the Sadowsky is wider and the Warwick will be narrower.

@FRoss6788 has a good point about where the basses will sit on your shoulders. You will have to reach more to the left for the lower notes versus the Sadowsky. See where the upper horn of the bass stops and compare that to other basses you have played.

Ended up going with the Warwick. We got the price down to $2200 shipped which I think is more than fair.
