Maybe their guitard cabs are sealed but I don't see anything about sealed bass cabs on their website. I don't think it's true. I have a neo B212 and I like it alot.

Help me understand sealed bass cabs!

Maybe their guitard cabs are sealed but I don't see anything about sealed bass cabs on their website. I don't think it's true. I have a neo B212 and I like it alot.
I've been a performing pro (for $) since I was 14 and I'm now 62 so I've played thru a lot of gear. My preference in sound is also a sealed cabinet or infinite baffle as it's called. What I like is the punchy lo-mid tone, warmth, and controlled low end they deliver. Of the ones available today I use the Ampeg PF115HE and use it w/ an Ampeg PF-500 head. Bergantino also makes a very nice one called the NV115 @ $999.00. If I didn't move my own gear in and out of gigs I'd probably still use an Ampeg 810 and an SVT head. Alas, they are too heavy and too loud for me now so the PF series does the trick and always gives me a sound that pleases me and represents my style of playing.

I find it strange that the OP was a member since ‘08-‘17 and only made 3 posts. 3! What the heck? I mean... I’ve seen these kind of members before and I just don’t get it. Ultimate lurkers? Ya got nothing to add to any conversation on a forum that is all about your hobby/craft/day job and you couldn’t be bothered to engage in conversations with other people who are into your hobby/craft/day job?

Sealed cabs, while maybe not able to go as low as a ported cab if you are only looking at frequency response graphs, can have enough lows to get the job done. Especially when the baffle is large and you have multiple drivers like a 410 or 810 size cab. The lows suffer from less overhang (caused by the port), which in turn sounds tighter, and less boomy.
One of the problems with all these ported cabs is they can go so low, those extra long waves create all sorts of problems, and some rooms can be really problematic with regard to boomieness. A sealed cab can be more forgiving in that regard.
