I have a $215.00 G.C. gift card to burn and I need absolutely nothing---as I am actually thinning my pedalboard.
I have a Diamond bass comp, that I am using (which I like), with a Broughton Low+High filter, a Vintage Microtubes and a M.E. SF-72 pre, into a RB115.
I thrash on a Bongo, a Stingray Special and passive P basses---just so, you have an idea of what I use. I have a Keeley bass comp that does not get any use--just seems too clean.
Anyway, should I get a Broughton Omnicomp to try or a Markbass Compressore or something else? I tried the Union Tube & Transistor Lab (Bean Counter), but did not like it. I do like a little color in my compressors though.
It has to be from GC and around $215 AND it does not matter if it is large or lightly used.
