Help! Names for Funk Bands

About 25 years ago, a friend came up with the name The Groovaleptics.... I wish I had ever been in a band that warranted that name.

Wow! I like it. That is a name bound for the BIG LIGHTS.
In saying so little, it says so much.
I am all over it like a cheap suit on a bad date.

I, and likely most of the musicians I have ever known, have spent copious hours grinding out more band names than we have tricky arpeggios.
I remember the day we thought up THE BEATLES. And then there was the day we were all pretty much smoked out and came up with THE ROLLING STONES.
We laughed until we pissed our knikers.
OOOPS!

Like I said... what do I know from names.

All I'm gonna say is don't you DARE use the words "Funk" or "Funky" in your bands name. That guarantees whackness. I'm serious. Other that than, have a ball with the name1

Ignore this advice, I don't even think "whackness" is a real word.
