HELP!! need help on picking a new bass amp!

Hi everyone, so ive finally got the finances to buy a new bass amp, yay! :bassist:
I'm primarily looking for a good/large bass combo that will be able to play medium gigs, but also give a nice, warm tone.
Boutique amps would be nice, but if anyone has any suggestions for what i should get, that would be amazing.
Please help!
Thanks,
-Gabe

Redheads are great when they are in perfect functioning order. I have seen a lot of brand new Redheads that had major problems out of the box. This one fella I used to share a space with went thru 3 before he got one where all the speakers were hooked up and it could achieve decent volume. If you find a solid used one, that can go loud, jump on it.
OTOH they are kind of old tech. You can pick up a GK or GB ultralight amp for pretty cheap these days.
I'd rather schlep a light head and kinda light cab than a heavy combo.

yeah i was just talking to a guy whose selling a Goliath Jr. II with 2 brand new Celestion BN10-200X Neodymium speakers, and a SWR SM400 bass amp together for 400 dollars.
He says everythings working fine and im gonna go over to play it.
How does that sound as a deal?

Those are about Celestions best 10" drivers for bass guitar. Depending on how it's wired it'll either be a 4 or 16 ohm cab, check that, you're gonna want to be able to add another one in the future.

OOPS forgot the pic

OP- Are you really set on the combo thing? There's some really cood power amp/preamp/cab combos out there that might get you even farther in the direction you want to go for the same price.

The whole "recently replaced all the drivers in the cab" thing tends to turn me off... brand new is only cool if it's really brand new.
