Yes I know that there is a "what phaser is best for bass" thread. I want a phaser that can do 100 percent wet for vibrato tones, lots of range and the more options the better. I want it to be subtle but in your face if need be. Also it cannot be bigger than a Keeley phaser....

Here is what i;ve tried but still looking for overall options...

Boss PH-1R (dug the deep phasing and classic sound)
Boss PH-2 (liked the mods and the overall prominent aspect)
Boss PH-3 (didn't like its digi-ness? no character)
Subdecay Baby Quasar (too subtle)
EBS DPhaser (like the options but not hidden in the pedal)
MXR Phase 90 (not enough variety)
MXR Phase 90 Zakk Wylde (see above)
MXR Phase 100 (liked the different options)
MSLP 18-stage phaser (insane!)
Heavy Electronics Morphine Dream (super insane!)
Blackout Effectors Whetstone (too big but liked its tones and variety)
EHX Small Stone Nano (actually really dug this one)
Earthquaker Devices Grand Orbiter (like the dark charcter and handles fuzz nicely)

of these I really dug: (and fit on my board)
Boss PH-1R
MXR Phase 100
Small Stone
Grand Orbiter

I really want to try:
Subdecay Quasar Deluxe (seems like it might be it but if anyone has experience with it I'm all ears!)

keep them coming people remember: not bigger than a Keeley phaser, has to get LUSH but be able to do subtle, more options the better, 250 dollar price cap (including used). Oh and it has to be daisy-chain friendly and run at 9V.

I own all the Boss versions and the MXR phase 90. The Phase 90 is simple but sounds the best to me still.

Might want to look at the HBE Psilocybe though. Might try that one out myself. Sounds good in the videos I've seen and seems versatile.

Like the phasers so far but I want something that has good vibe tones, can get really crazy and has LOTS of options. My max price range is 250 bucks

The feedback knob on the Enterprise is awesome; with it I can get the pedal to sound like Captain Kirk's phaser on full auto.

And between the Mode switch and the Stage switch, there are many phase choices to be had.

Oh and you can adjust the brightness of the LED too. ooooooh.

I never messed with vibe tones on it though.

are the 2 and 3 stage subtle? I've tried a few 2-stage phasers and they always seemed WAY to subtle. Besides that, (based off theie website) it seems like a very versatile unit esp with the P/PV/V controls and the mix control (for vibe tones).

What are it's pros/cons to you?

Also I'm really eyeing a Subdecay Quasar Deluxe (has 4/6/8 stages and LOTS of options) but no real experience and only one bass demo (albeit a good one) online.

Anyone have experience with this phaser? pros? cons?

I dug it and my go this route (plus its a lot cheaper than my other fancy options!)

any cool mods for it?

Honestly, no idea. I just like the inherit tone better than phase 90 and small stone phasers. Grand Orbiter was way too dark for my tastes for instance. There might be mods. Are you looking for some crazy lo fi bit crusher stuff or to make it more bass friendly?

just looking to see if it has more options avaliable. I want the end-all phaser that can do everything (and then some) :bassist:

I've been on the same hunt for over a year and a half and am saving for a Moog MF-103. Its price tag will definitely be lower than the revolving door of pedal juggling and/or mods, as was my experience with my fuzz and filter hunts.
