Hi TB'ers
I want to make custom order 5 strings bass at my local luthier.
The concept is Modern Jazz Bass, I mean standard Jazz Bass with added 18V preamp for wider tone pallete and have 35" scale for Low B.
Wood Configuration is:
Body: Ash/Swamp Ash
Top: Eye Poplar
Neck: Maple (bolt on)
Fingerboard: Maple or Ebony 12" Radius
String spacing: 18mm
Nut width: 45mm
I use stainless steel strings.
For electronic I need preamp that has mid sweep freq, and for pickup I need Hum-cancelling.
And for sound reference that I want is like video bellow:
For slap I like japanese fusion style like slapping sound vibe from casiopea (tetsuo sakurai) or T-Square (Mitsuru Sutoh).
Sorry I can't described it in words, but I really like bass tone like above video.
