Okay in holy wars by megadeth on the a string you play a D then hammer on to a E then play a triplet of open Es and them go back on the A string and pull off from G to E my problem is I can't play the triplet fast enough and I'm playing with a pick

Help quickly switching strings

Your triplet is all on the same string, three of the same note, correct?
If so when you pick down you get a sound, bringing the pick back up to start another down pick nothing is happening......... why not sound the string while coming back up? It's called alternate picking. Do a google.

Yes I know what alternate picking is I just can't switch between strings very quickly sorry I should have clarified that
