Is that a burnt component to the bottom just right of center by the blue and red wires on the top photo? Or just a shadow? Can't tell if that is a charr mark from the smaller cap to the right of the two 220mfd caps on the bottom photo.
Not quite sure if I am seeing a cracked input jack!
Your bottom pic shows a couple of cylinders with 220 stickers on top. If you notice, there are 2 screws to the right that are covered with red thread lock goop. Make sure those particular screws are tight.
Those are the heatsink clamps for the power amp. The power amp will current limit due to running hot and make a static kind of sound if those are not torqued down. Sorry about that. You must have an earlier one. Hopefully you're all set now.
