help solve neck dive please

I see a lot of posts about neck dive but I can honestly say that in 34 years of playing and owning many basses from different manufacturers, I have never had this issue. Maybe you should consider getting a strap that actually stays in place.
I'm glad you've had a good experience. I've played a lot of instruments since my first Sears guitar in the spring of 1975, and I've had balanced instruments, neck heavy instruments, body heavy instruments, and all sorts of straps. A lot of time, a good wide strap can keep the instrument secure, but sometimes there is just a wrong weight bias on the instrument.
