I did a search and there were only a few threads with Gibby in the title! I'm just trying to get a feel for how you bass players talk.

There's really no usage threshold for getting on the the list. Based on a Wiki reference, it may be used more than you think it would be. It may be that guitar players use it more than bass players?

After years of reading this forum the acronyms have become like a first language, so here's the start of master list that should be immediately recognizable:

LPB - Lake Placid Blue
CAR - Candy Apple Red
OWH - Olympic White
NAT - Natural
NBD - New Bass Day

and the always prevalent POS - Piece Of Sh!t

OHSC is one that most non-GAS affected bassists and guitarists (and everyone else) would not have a clue what it meant.
