Help update TB Abbreviations and Slang FAQ

LPB = Lake Placid Blue
CAR = Candy Apple Red
OWH = Olympic White
NAT = Natural

Which would obviously lead to others like BLK, 3TSB, SFG, etc... Once you know the context, decoding becomes easier.

OCD would apply to more than a few posters.

IBTL = In before the lock (for those wanting to pad their post count)

TTT = to the top (when bumping a thread)

FS / FSO = for sale / for sale only, which leads to FT / FTO

WTB = want to buy

DATY = you're on the wrong forum

I'm working on a project at work and I've been incorrectly calling initialisms acronyms. This is the first time in many, many years TB has helped me be more productive at work. FTW.

Speaking of mistakes, I noticed that in the other thread referenced here it refers to reissues as NOS. As far as I know [AFAIK] New Old Stock (NOS) does not refer to reissues but rather to items made back in the day (often tubes) that were never sold, used, or installed and have no hours on them and often are in original boxes. For example I bought some NOS Fender P-bass pickups which came in Fender plastic bags with part numbers and dated back when they were made. A reissue would be recently manufactured, but to original specifications.

It is also a relic level for Fender Custom Shop basses. I think NOS is basically perfection, then Closet Classic is like something slightly used them stored for 30 years, then they have Apocalypse or something, which is like Jaco.
