HELP: VOLUME GONE/DECREASE WITH BLEND CENTRED.

Hi,
I wired My barts with Volume ,Blend.
When the blend is centred..there is a drastic volume drop when compared to blend is fully clockwise or fully counterclockwise.
I knew nothing about electronic laws, so I was hoping the electronic gurus here can give me a hint, what might be the problem, what to check, etc.
BTW, the barts are M56CBC..with 5 wires..red,white,green,black and shield.
thanks
regards

I'm assuming you're using a passive setup? That's something common to blend pots, but I really don't know why. I do know how to fix it, though: just don't connect the ground lugs of the blend pot. With those disconnected, the pot is just acting like a dimmer, instead of shunting part of the signal to ground. Oh yeah, and make sure it's a 500k pot, a 250k might not dim the pickups enough.
