Bummer! I was really hoping to bring you some joy there. Goes to prove this is one of those "Always On" pedals haha. Sounds to me like the 2n5088 is at the end of it's lifespan. There is the possibility that it is the mc14007, but seems like the 5088 could be shorted. You could use deductive reasoning with a multimeter, but if you just wanted to replace parts, I would start with the unit that only has 3 pins before the one that has 14 haha. At $1 worth of parts, it's not a bad deal for giving it another 20+ years of life. This is one of those pedals that I can't do without. I have a backup, but my custom one has been running strong for over 4 years now. I am beginning to think I don't need two haha
