Help with Bass Setup (Amp needed for Eden D410T)

Hello,

I've been playing bass guitar for years on and off and decided to take it more seriously. I need help in deciding what is the best amp for my current setup. I grew up playing in church worship teams and enjoy Jazz bass as well. I would also love to learn how to slap properly.

Bass: Ibanez SR505 with factory Elixer Strings

In terms of amps, someone suggested using a David Eden WT-400 amp.

Please let me know what your opinion of my current setup is and offer any improvements. Thank you for your time.

There's all kinds of good stuff out there, inexpensive to boutique. You're just gonna have to get something and try it! Bring your cab to a store and try some heads.

You want something that'll give you a nice bit of headroom at 8 ohms, I suppose. How much room are you going to try and fill? A decent power amp and pre can go a long way.

P.S. Looks like you've got a good bass and good speakers. You're most of the way there for tone... now get good power and some good eq.

Thanks for the replies. In terms of how much to spend, I would like to spend less than $1000 used for the rest of the pieces needed. Any specific models that I should look into that would work well with my current setup? The types of music would be mostly jazz and gospel. I would mostly be using this setup at home but occasionally play for church venues. Thanks once again.

You could use almost anything. Opinions will vary, but you've got a bass and a speaker cab, and there is a great deal of your sound set up already.

Too much stuff out there for me to start! But if you want to keep it simple, get an integrated head as opposed to a pre/power setup- even though a pre/power setup might be more efficient and give better headroom. But a good head will be enough I'd think.

You might look into Eden since you already have the cab... that stuff is pretty popular with the Gospel crowd. Keep your gear matched to its' own brand from component-to-component and you'll probably do well. Also you will have resale appeal if you want to move to something else later on.

If I had the scratch and that cab, that's what I'd do.
